A beautiful baby and her beautiful family
We were so excited to meet little miss Carmella after she had only been a part of this world for a few short weeks! And we were also so happy to get to see her siblings again, especially after having the chance to photograph her brother Jeffrey's newborn and first-birthday portraits in the last couple years. We absolutely love getting to stay close with our families as they grow over time!
Carmella was the sweetest little girl for her photo session and barely even woke up as we, her parents, and her brother and sister moved her around. We always enjoy working with little babies in their first few weeks of life because they're so sleepy and cooperative! This particular day was beautiful, so we spent some time outside of the family's home and then in and around the nursery.
We love in-home newborn sessions because we feel that they add a documentary element to this moment in time. Yes, we all want beautiful portraits of our precious little one to commemorate that they were once this small, but we also love to showcase everything about this season of life - from their nursery to their favorite blankets, to all the love they feel from their parents and siblings. Not to mention, that whole not-having-to-get-the-family-ready-and-leave-the-house thing when you're just a few weeks postpartum! To us, in-home sessions for newborns are absolutely the way to go!
